   I was eleven years’ old when I joined the choir at Egerton Road under Charles Heller.
   I had only one rehearsal with Chazan Shisler- the Choir began Naumbourg’s Seu Shearim and then Chazan Shisler’s voice soared above with the sweetest purest tone. It was the most beautiful and inspiring music. (Naumbourg was Chazan at the Rue de Notre Dame synagogue in Paris.) Chazan Shisler left to go to Kenton.
