The following notes were compiled by Mr Geoffrey Green from the Jewish Year Book. They list the names of Chazanim in the Orthodox Synagogues in London and the larger provincial Communities.

They also contain some interesting biographical notes on some of the Chazanim mentioned, including their home addresses.

I am very grateful to Mr Green for undertaking this labour of love, that will prove very useful to anyone wishing to undertake research into the Cantorate of the British Orthodox community since 1896.

Since Mr Green's handwriting is perfectly legible, I have left them as he gave them to me.
